Absolutely fantastic.
We had the New Life team replace our failing retaining wall, build steps from our front to back yard, and create an area for a fire pit.
Despite torrential rain during the project, they stabilized our wall and completed the work with surgical precision.
Our neighbors were also really happy with the transformation.
They replaced an ugly, rotten wall with a beautiful terraced one —in terrible weather—and stayed on budget doing so.
They were so easy to work with, and we are so happy with the result.
Thank you!!
New Life Rockeries was so easy to work with on every step of the process.
They heard our hopes and goals, provided awesome professional feedback to make it even better than we imagined, and got the job done!
They started sooner than we expected, were extremely detail-focused (since I'm working from home, I'd spy a little and was impressed by how they would take the time to get each stone perfect), and they came in under budget!
This was not a small project either—they:
Can't recommend them enough and will definitely get more projects done by them in the future!
In the photos, you’ll see a concrete wall—that ugly thing was NOT their work. It’s getting covered by a fence that will sit on top of the lovely wall New Life built.
We loved working with the team.
They listened to our concerns, addressed landscape issues, provided reasonable solutions that worked, and delivered excellent work.
The team was meticulous and conscientious of our neighbors. They allowed us to expand on the project, finding what worked best.
Clean-up every day was part of their routine, and we were kept informed every step of the way.
We absolutely love our new patio areas, rockeries, landscape, and drainage solutions. We now have a very livable and workable space!
We would hire them again.
The vast number of hues, textures, and shades of stone that can be used to create a rockery, retaining wall or water feature possess dizzying potential. Our most-used stone choices are hand-selected basalt, sandstone, limestone, and granite. Our experts will help you select the colors, size, shape, and texture that will provide your rockery’s unique aesthetic. This process generally occurs during the property environmental analysis, creating a harmony between the construction materials and the place in which they will be assembled.
Adding living and growing components such as plant life to your rockery significantly increases the overall visual impact of your rockery. Whether they are adding a unique color to your installation’s palette or they are simply providing a contrasting texture, plants always breathe life into a rockery’s visual impression. The best thing about selecting plants for your outdoor space based on environmental factors is that it ensures your plants are hardy and healthy regardless of when and where they are exposed to the sun throughout the day. For example, certain ground cover plants, like hostas or impatiens actually grow well even in low light conditions. Popular choices for rockeries include various ground covers, wooly yarrow, perennials, rock cress, and countless others.
Two to Three Man Rock
Massive in size and extremely heavy, these stones require a three-man team and heavy machinery to install them safely and properly. One man operates the assembly machine, a second drives the truck, and the third direct events from the ground. Two to three man rock work is the core of much of our business, and so we have a specialized machine to save time and money when building larger structures. Our brick-laying machines have been engineered specifically to make the installations of this type of wall fast and inexpensive. Depending on weather and home conditions, our crew can complete 400-600 square feet per working day. This number is naturally a reflection of years of training and experience, but by and large, our people can finish most jobs within 24 hours depending on the scale of the job.
Boulders
With their rounded edges and smooth sides, boulders are a less popular choice for landscaping rockeries, though sometimes they are be interspersed within a rock wall for a unique look. As a rule, though, boulders are generally more decorative than functional.
There is no job too big or too small for our team of landscaping experts at New Life Rockeries, and we are ready and waiting to help you turn the problem areas of your property into the objects of admiration they deserve to be. To learn more, call or fill out our contact form.
