Many homeowners are taken aback at the exceptional choice of stone that can be chosen from to build your water feature, retaining wall or rockery. We build our walls from choice picks of granite, sandstone, limestone, and basalt. Also based on any special requests that you may have, we can find specially selected rocks of most any size, shape, and color for the job. We will base our stone selections for the project on your input as well as any environmental factors that your property may present.
The addition of plants to your rock wall can have an enormous effect on the overall look of any project for your home. When you chose to have a rock wall built, you should consider the addition of plants to bring an added beauty to the finished wall. A huge selection of plants can complement any home wall project. Yarrow, ground cover, and rock cress are all wonderful choices when it comes adding plants to your rock features.
Depending on the environmental needs and the layout of your rockery, you might require a full retaining wall to be built. Our professional crew will meet with you at your Issaquah property and discuss the best placement of the wall on your property. Once we have selected the best rocks suited to the needs and function of your wall, we will begin construction.
We focus on building three styles of rock walls at New Life Rockeries.
One Man Half Man Rock
This is an excellent choice for small walls that can be built more or less by hand. Do not let the name of one and a half man rock confuse you. These rocks are so large that most people are unable to pick them up. Once in place, they often require a crowbar to move them. When we build walls of this type we use crews that are much larger than other walls due to the time and effort involved in their construction.
Two to Three Man Rock
When working with two and three man rocks, the use of specialized equipment is required. These walls are constructed with teams of three people. One man works on the ground and assembles the wall as another operates the machine to move the rocks. The last team member drives the truck and delivers the materials to the crew. These are the typical walls that we build at New Life Rockeries. Our trained teams can build 400-600 square foot of wall a day with our specialized machinery.
Boulders
With their smooth round surfaces, boulders generally are not the best for rock walls. They can still be set within a wall to enhance the wall’s finished look. These are often wonderful decorative enhancements that add a touch of beauty to retaining walls.
A fresh and vibrant way to take the beauty of your rockery to the next level is by incorporating water features into your design. With the addition of pools and waterfalls, you not only add beauty to your home’s project but also help regulate the flow of water on your North Bend property. With so many options of water features to choose from, you are certain to find the perfect look you desire.
New Life Rockeries teams will help you handpick the features that will bring your water feature to life. Trust that our staff’s knowledge will help you in creating the best choice of materials for your home.
