Absolutely fantastic. We had the New Life team replace our failing retaining wall and make some steps from our front to back yard and an area for a fire pit. They stabilized our wall despite torrential rain while they were working. Their work was surgically precise and our neighbors were also really happy. They replaced an ugly, rotten wall with a beautiful terraced one in terrible weather and stayed on budget doing so. They were so easy to work with and we are so happy with the result. Thank you!!

Stone

New Life Rockeries has a huge selection to pick from to construct your retaining walls and water features. Generally, we suggest granite, sandstone, limestone, and basalt.
Your choice of texture, size, color, and rock shape all can be taken into consideration when making selections of stone for your Redmond home project. Choosing the right material for your project begins with the style of rockery construction you want. Environmental conditions also will factor into the rocks and stones we may suggest using.

Plants

Adding plants to your retaining wall can add a tremendous difference to the end look of your property. Retaining Wall Types

New Life Rockeries primarily uses three types of rock in the projects we work on.

One Man, Half Man Rock
Rocks that can be mostly moved by hand and are excellent for small wall projects. It is important to note that one man and half man rocks are not rocks a man can pick up, these are rocks that require the use of a crowbar to move. On half man projects, we bring out a larger crew so we can complete most of the work in a single day.

Two and Three Man Rock
These Rocks can only be moved into position with the aid of a machine. This means that our teams will have one operator as well as one man on the ground and another driving a supply truck. This is commonly the type of work our crews do. We use a mini machine that has been modified to make the construction of these type of walls quick and economical. We can install 400-600 square foot of retaining wall on an average day.

Boulders
Due to their rounded edges and smooth surfaces, boulders are rarely used in the construction of rock walls. They may sometimes be inserted within rock walls to add aesthetics enhancement as they are generally reserved for decorative uses on a property.

Water Features

Water features are a wonderful way to elevate the beauty of your rockery. Everything from ponds, pools, falls, and fountains are all great features that in addition to adding beauty to your project can also help control water flow on your property.
